Re: Mac Trackpad glitching, caused by bass??
Yes it was a mac issue, nothing to do with ableton, apart from the context. I have played many gigs with the same setup, plenty of bass, and no issues. I was plugged in, with a decent amount of battery life in the bank. the main fact that made me surmise it was the bass was that I could pick my lapt...

Mac Trackpad glitching, caused by bass??
Hey all, I wonder if anyone has had the same issue as me before? I was performing yesterday, outdoors, hot and dusty. I was using my mac at the campsite preparing and all was working fine. got the lappy to the stage, opened it up, and the trackpad would not respond to my fingers correctly. It felt l...

Re: Global "detune" parameter in Operator
Yes,.. I wish there was this function. I regularly end up with notes on my operator patches that are slightly flat or sharp, and its not consistent across the scale. I am currently writing a bassline that is super simple, just D and C, but the D is very sharp, the C is bang on. Does my head in. A si...

Re: new Soundcloud Beta
I've been trying to like it for the last few months, but I keep finding myself returning to the old soundcloud. Its simple, it just works. I notice that I get different songs coming up in my feed on the new soundcloud, as in, more songs I don't want and less that I do! I also notice that some that I...

Re: LIVE 8 PERFORMANCE TEST - Results Here
Has anyone tried this with a beta Mountain Lyon? So I have tested 4 Mac laptops. Mine. 1) Ableton Live CPU Meter 60% one day with glitches, another day 60% no glitches, another day 50% with glitches. wierd. 2) Laptop/Desktop? Make/Model? No speed increase on new computer?
So... I've been using a 2008 macbook pro for the last 4 years, I spend a lot of time freezing tracks. Most of songs have 60 tracks ish. Just borrowed my dads early 2012 macbook pro, (quad core i7 4gb ram) loaded up ableton and a track i'm working on that normally hits 90% on the cpu meter on my old ...

THIS!- Snapshots... store every setting for every effect at a moment in time and be able to quickly recall them via MIDI or keystroke (like MainStage has had since 1.0). If you're in playing in a band it's a total pain in the ass to switch songs now.

Re: Auto Pan gating out of time?
restarting my computer didn't help this, but turning it off and on again did!!!
It was ONLY the autopan offset that was wrong, nothing else in the entire track of 50 channels. and autopan has done this several times to me!
thoughts?

Auto Pan gating out of time?
Hey all, just wondering if anyone else has had this, and wether there is a known fix. Occasionally, when I have a pad sound, and I want to chop it to 16ths, I will use the autopan. however occasionally, when listening back, the 16ths will be out of time, off the beat, and occasionally perfectly in s...
