Saving a snippet of recorded audio
So I've layered a snare hit using various instruments. Now I've got it sounding sweet I'd like to save the hit into my library. I can't find how to do this...
Currently the sample only exists as a clip in the session view. How do I export this audio and save it somewhere on disk?
Hope this makes ...

Drum Rack Wierd thing....
Really frustrated now... Open the browser, navigate to "instruments", and the drum rack instrument displays as a folder NOT an instrument.
I cannot drag an empty drum rack (or instrument rack for that matter) to a blank midi channel... I can look at preset racks and drag those but not an empty one ...

Latency Issues
Hi all,
My macbook decided to pack in the other day and in the meantime I dusted off my windows desktop machine which has the following spec:
2.14GHz Core2Duo
2GB DDR Ram
GeForce 8400 GS
OnBoard Sound
When I press a key on my Novation keyboard (connected via USB) there is noticable latency ...

Saving a drum rack as a preset
After many hours of playing around with drum racks, is there a way that I can store a drum rack setup as a drum rack preset? If so, how can I do this?
Example:
Import a blank drum rack, assign a few impulse instruments to drum pads and setup these with various effects / EQs etc. Now I have it setup ...

Issue with create new live set
Whenever I create a new live set it opens a project as default, how can I stop Ableton from doing this, really annoying when I want a blank canvas to have to keep deleting all the tracks, this is what it looks like when I do File -> New live set:

How do I do the following:

Electro House For Beginners
I bought my copy of Ableton Suite about a year ago now and had loads of fun teaching myself lots of basic techniques regarding setting up various instruments, VSTs, drums etc... But there's only so far online tutorials and YouTube video's can take you.

I worked out a way to do it :-)
For anyone who is interested...
Drag the audio file you want to take a sample from into a free space in an audio track in Ableton creating a new clip containing the entire audio file (i.e. a song).

Hi guys,
I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this, so feel free to move it if its in the wrong place, it seemed the most logical place to post!
So I'm fairly new to Ableton; bought it back in Feb and mostly I've been spending my time warping audio tracks. I've got to a stage now ...
