yep. this may be the most notable ingredient regarding the texture of that distortion. drop G is waaaay down there, and the slack on the low string will produce a distinctive feel through any drive effect.

While it might not have dedicated controls like the APC40 if you look closely at the picture it has little red text saying: Vol, Pan, SendABC and more interestingly User1,2,3, aka something the APC40 doesn’t have at all. So it might actually have a few more tricks up its sleeve than the APC40 itself...
