Re: Make Live send its initial state?

nice one. thanks for the tip.

While testing Kapture i discovered that touchOSC will update midi mapped parameters (after restarting iOS app) if i select the track containing my device in Live.

so my problem solved itself and i've found an interesting new device. thanks!

Re: Make Live send its initial state?

thanks for the reply.

I thought of that, but the problem is that i want to be able to dynamically map to *anything. If its only mixer volume no problem, but fader 2 could be an autofilter drive value and fader 4 could be a macro knob.

Make Live send its initial state?

I'm working on a TouchOSC template which controls mapped midi parameters in a set and recieves the fader labels from M4L via OSC. All is working well, with (label) parameters saved in the Live set.

The only thing i'm running into is that if i reload the TouchOSC template on my iphone, i cant ...

Re: Latency in Return Tracks

Here's my setup in Live:

"click" Audio track outputs to "Master" and "send A"
"A EXT FX" (Send A) output is set to (disabled) "Sends Only". It contains an "External Audio Effect" with "Audio To" and "Audio From" both set to 4.
"FX REC" outputs to "Master" and is set to "Monitor IN" from "A-EXT FX ...

Re: Latency in Return Tracks

Actually i will test it, for the 3rd time. Because i'm concerned your stubborn stance is possibly going to get in the way of other people who might end up here.

Re: Latency in Return Tracks

How about you do it? As an expert on latency you should be able to debunk my findings in minutes.

Re: Latency in Return Tracks

i checked to make sure i was listening to a physical input and didn't mess up my routing. It was close enough to doubt.

Re: Latency in Return Tracks

i just retested and my method works. Using an external audio effect and routing to an audio track post fx works without latency.

sending the return directly to an output and bringing it back in on an audio track wont work even with sends disabled.

i double checked by adjusting the pre-amp input on ...

Re: Latency in Return Tracks

it doesn't beat the concept at all. At some point i might want to print the effect and still be able vary the amount of wet mix. There are many possible reasons for this, i'll leave it to you to think of a few.

I am routing the output of the return, after the external instrument..so i can record it ...

Re: Latency in Return Tracks

So basically, if your using external hardware effects units (reverbs, delays etc.) which you would like to record (separately from the master take) at some point; You'll need to do the following:

Put an "External Audio Instrument" on a Return track.
Create an Audio Track (for recording the FX ...

Re: Sharing effects racks with Max4Live patches?

Thanks for the replies.

And if they then want to use the objects as part of their standard setup? I'm wondering how to move the effects rack preset into an external library and have it reference the correct .amxd?

Sharing effects racks with Max4Live patches?

Is there a correct way to save/collect effects racks containing M4L patches so they work on other computers?
