Re: WACOM support

do you mean really fixed or are you using some kind of workaround like mouse mode. So will there be native WACOM tablet support from 8.02 on?

How can I get my hands on that beta?

Re: Live Audio Unit and VST Status

I just noticed that if you embed a vst plugin inside an instance of Kore2, it is possible to use the computer keyboard to type text into the plugin's gui (but still not into Kore2's gui, even though you can save performances onto you hdd with a user defined name which kind of relaxes the issue a bit).

Re: Can someone from Ableton please answer this post.

Of course, this wouldn't have been an issue had you carried on beta testing for a short while longer. The amount of people who have found 8 to be unuseable and have reverted back to 7, detract from the speediness that these bugs will be uncovered. Come on, the time of the release was totally ok. No...

Re: Can someone from Ableton please answer this post.

Dear Jarvisimon, I don't know what your config is but just to let you know that Live 8.01 is running stable as far as I've tested it the last days... Hmm. Ocasionally when I doubleclick a clip, live just crashes. NI Acoutsik Piano and sometimes NI Kontakt 3 with an Acoustik Piano loaded in it break...

I don't know about which OS you'Re talking, but on Windows the WACOM drivers allow you to tell them to switch the tablet to mouse mode whenever Live has focus. Or always use the mouse mode, if you'd prefer. The drivers for the Intuos.

Mouse mode sucks, in that case it's even better to a real mouse. Are you on a mac? Because the Windows drivers for the Intuos allow to set the modes in the driver utility as a per-app setting. But it drives one nuts to mix modes.

And btw. envelopes drawn by hand <3 Soooo beautiful! I'm hooked! Yes, this is nice, but I'd still prefer to have splines with control handles since drawing isn't always as precise, specially when you have to "adjust" or "fix" the painting. Well, anyway it must be even worse with...

[5199] Grouping error in recording track

When, while Live is playing back, a track that is armed for recording is being inserted into a group, the process aborts half way with a warning, but without rolling back completely. The track becomes part of the group but lives outside of it.

Re: Legato on looping clip

Hi Gustavo, thanks for your input. Your solution is the best to work around the problem. I played with the note length plug-in, but I left that route after seeing how it messed up the other notes and didn't know about the possibility to add an envelope to the chain selector. Smart move. I also manag...

Re: Legato on looping clip

gustavo: Theoretically that should solve the problem, though the correct solution would be to delay the note off of that last note to some time after the first note had sent it's note on (just as I'm able to defer the note off of the other notes by just making them a bit longer so that a poliphonic ...

Re: Legato on looping clip

longjohns: Oh I see, It was an error to think that moving the entire loop bracket would make the first pass of the clip a bit longer that the rest, and the issue with the double amount of notes is therefore not true, only the last one needs to be added to match the first one. I thought in order not ...

Re: Sound Quality

don't know about aiff ( I'm a PC ;) ), but I always use wav. wav as well as aiff store the data as (usually - and in the case of Live definitely) uncompressed PCM, so no data is lost, neither in wav, nor in aiff. If you're on a mac and work with lot's of build-for-mac products go aiff, else go wav s...
