Re: A Wellspring Of Inspiration
I've read a lot of these posts on this and other forums before, so as jestermgee suggested a little trolling the forums can lead you to a lot of information. Terekith's guide is good and I have read it previously. I have seen a lot of people in different threads and my own traditional musician frien...

APC40 and 20 Combination Mode Problem
I run my APC40 and 20 in combination mode with the APC20 being on the left and the 40 on the right. Most of the times that I open a set, they will be switched, with the 20 being on the right and the 40 being on the left. I can fix this by going into preferences, unsyncing the APC40 and then resyncin...

Re: new studio desk
If you start having problems with paint peeling scuff the gloss surface before you repaint with sand paper. Paint has a hard time sticking to overly glossy surfaces, which most store bought things are because they look prettier/are easier to clean. By scuffing away a lot of the gloss you can give yo...

Re: new studio desk
Cheers on doing something DIY and custom fit to your needs instead of going and buying a standardized desk from a multi-national corporation. My question is how is the usage of the APCs together with them separated like that, not do they work but how is the work flow with them across your setup from...

APC40+APC20 Combination Mode Issue
I use an APC40 and an APC20 in Combination mode and sometimes when I open sets the grids switch with the 40 being on the left and the 20 on the right. I can easily fix this by going into MIDI preferences and turning the APC40 off and then back on again. I was wondering what might be causing this pro...

Re: Best way to organized Live projects with Reason instruments?
If there is a windows alternative I would be very interested. I've also thought about how the process of opening programs in order. I abandoned rewiring reason a while ago when I picked up my radias-r and also because of limitations I was encountering in the rewire process. I don't know how Reasons ...

Re: Switching computers for a set question.
Should I ensure that when I create this new folder that it is in a destination that I can duplicate on the other computer, such as just a generic C:/DJset folder. My worry is that if I use the default location, where live would create a new project, that if I can't put it in the exact same directory...

Switching computers for a set question.
While I'm not a DJ as a producer I have gear (APC40/20, KP3, etc) which enables me to do DJ sets. My computer can handle my production load fine but when I have had troubles during the few DJ sets I've done in the past. My tempo will drift once the set has been running and adding new songs to the se...

Re: Akai MIDI controllers - APC40 or APC20?
If you're looking to DJ like you said I would suggest the 40. I have both and use the 40 for DJ sets and both in combination mode for production. Access to the Sends and the track faders are really useful for effects, EQ, etc for each track individually. Plus the 40 has a cross-fader, the global con...

Re: MIDI CC newbie
The above mentioned MIDI Map button will allow you to map a pad, knob, fader, key to any available function. When you have a function that you would like to control with your MIDI controller just click the MIDI Map button, click the control you want to map to, and press the pad, turn the knob, etc. ...

Re: Controlling Reason Parameters with APC40
I do know about that. I would like someone to come out with one that I can get 16 steps on my APC40and 20 together. I have a Korg EMX-1 so in reality I have all the step sequencer I need between it and the Radias. Though I would use a 16 step one over my 2 APCs quite a bit.

Muting a Specific MIDI note in a MIDI Clip?
I am trying to find a way to mute a specific MIDI note in real time while it is sequencing my Korg EMX-1 and am new to M4L. I have found 2 ways to successfully do this but have not been able to find a way that can me mapped to the Part Mute CC messages sent by the EMX-1. The two ways I have found to...
