Low resolution automation when using plugin GUI
Hi Guys, When recording automation using the GUI of a plugin my Live automation resolutions is very low, at 120 bpm it updates about every 1/16 of a bar. The fixed grid is off and the adaptive grid is set to narrowest, Is there a way of getting Live to record higher resolution automation? Thanks for...

Hi M,

Cheers
Andy

Live 9 suite lib very small?
Hi Guys.
Is the Live 9 suite lib small or do I have a problem here?
For instance if I go to places->Core Library->Sounds->Brass I have 4 sounds listed, Piano&keys I have 11, Winds I only have 2.
Does this sound right?
Thanks for any help
Andy

I wondered what that white sticky stuff was on my Livid Code, now I think I know what it may be!The Finn wrote:We should ask the guys at Livid whether they get adequate breastfeeding. There could be an issue there.

The USA of course doesn't hurt children around the world!john gordon wrote:How do you sleep at night after playing with your Push?
Buy American! Livid Instruments is a controller you can feel good about
and no children are harmed while building.

Re: Push Knob Resolution (Feature Request)
sorry, i assumed you were talking about standard MIDI CC and Note values. i guess that's what the Abes assumed you were talking about too. Push can send whatever values of course, as long as the receiving device is capable of interpreting them. Stray's Push code mods divide the number space between...

Re: really close to selling.my push
Rerading the manual of PXT it seems you can only step sequence 8 steps, is that correct? Nope that is not correct. You can only see 8 at a time but you can change what 8 you are editing. Repeat – Toggle (if pressed quickly) or momentarily (if held down) switch the Matrix to Edit Position Mode. In E...

Re: really close to selling.my push
Well I had had enough of my Push it has been sitting there unused. Then I saw this post about a fix for the crap encoder resolution https://forum.ableton.com/viewtopic.php?f=55&t=193800 from metastatik, this fixed one of the major issues I have with push controlling parameters with large ranges....

Re: Push Knob Resolution (Feature Request)
Well Ableton told me they couldn't, and I quote: "The first one [my question about knob resolution] is due to the general MIDI data resolution of 128 steps. Also the Push knobs send regular MIDI CC to control parameters, which gives you those 128 steps. If your actual parameter has a smaller r...

Re: Push Knob Resolution (Feature Request)
I've just uploaded a modification to the Push script that allows Shift + the Encoders to finely adjust parameter values (provides 1024 steps of adjustment). Install info is provided in the download. This is brilliant, thanks very much. It makes Push much more useful for me. Maybe Ableton should pay...

Re: Live 9 Performance Test
Very true, there does seem to be an issue with the Live cpu gauge as well though as on my machine an increase to 1% real cpu gives and increase of 16% in the live gauge. I wonder how they calculate it.
