not sure? its just a dj mixer so they dont normally do they?

just bought some active monitor speakers for the first time.

i'm sure this should work but cant understand why its not...

I have a turntable plugged into my dj mixer (urei 1620) and then the master output (left) into my left active monitor and then the master (right) into my right active monitor ...

i know this may sound daft but i simply want to record a mix playing through a stream into soundforge or ableton if possible but cant seem to get the signal in soundforge or into ableton so that i can hit record! Any ideas?

If you can already see that on the mixer, the audio interface/computer seems to be fine.

The output levels of a turntable depend on the needle and how it is mounted. You should - as already advised - check a new one and if that doesn't help check how it is mounted.

My first guess is you have a pan pot turned somewhere on your mixer, or a gain knob/slider turned up a little higher than it should be.

there is no pan on a xone 92. Im guessing that if you push channel 3 fader up to peak at say -2db then both the left and right channels ...

I dont scratch. I have a xone 92 and you can even see the slight difference on the LED on the mixer Left channel is slightly higher than the right. Anyone else get this..?

but some records record fine (i.e level) and some dont...? surely the output from the mixer is balanced as standard..?

Can anyone tell me why that when I record the output from my mixer into soundforge or ableton via my sound card (focusrite sapphire) the left channel always records slightly higher than the right when I look at the waveform...?

my plug in is working when i use the mouse to press the keys on the piano yet my midi controller keys will not trigger the same sounds...am i missing something..?

is there some setting within LIVE?

i have just noticed that it seems to be just the mp3 files and not my wav files...?

like i say, the asd is there but for some reason its not reading the saved info and the saved warp marker positions...? I know they were there as ive been dj'in etc with the same files. Its just as if over night ableton has stopped reading the asd...?

Ive warped some tracks and saved the warp markers, it creates a file in the mp3 folder with an .asd extension, when I load the track back into a new set in ableton live it is unwarped and doesn’t load the saved markers…what am I doing wrong. If i click on warp it puts in the default ...
