You will get to keep every old Suite feature like Sampler, even if you upgrade to Standard from Suite. I have previously upgraded from Suite 8 to Standard 10 and I kept M4L, Sampler etc.

Before disabling SMT, try playing with the Options.txt's -MaxAudioThreads=32 and see if lowering it to 16, 8 helps out. That is tricky question. But since you asked me, I would rather go with i5 12600k now, it's cheaper too. If it wasn't such pain to install all the plugins, I would switch back to Intel.
