going further; say I am monitoring a track listenning roughly at 85 dB SPL.
85 minus 51 is 34. (51 is the reading when music is off)
does that mean that 34 dB ...

What does your sound level meter read after the music ends?
With the amplifiers on, computer fans on, and a bit of street noise from the window, mine reads 51 dB.

Well I now have a 60 minutes long track on Ableton that I wish to burn into a CD.
The track sounds great here on my monitors but as you know making it fit nicely into a CD involves a bit more.
I am down to adjusting mainly the low cutoff frequency, slight compression and eq, maximisation, width, and ...

thanks for the reply guys, but I still dont get it.
V5 does not allow min & max to be set on the transpose knob for a sample playing.
I`ve also tried out enigma for the first time, but no luck there either. It doesn`t look like it can do much more that assign things. Nothing I cant do with the box ...
