Recommendations for a firewire card for a desktop?

Hello everyone,

I've built a desktop but my motherboard doesn't come with a firewire input. Does anyone have any recommendations for a high quality firewire card so that I can hook up my Audiofire 4 to my PC?

Thanks,

Re: Lenovo users - please share your experiences...!

Lenovo T400 here with 32bit Windows 7 for the past 2 years. I get some audio drop out problems sometimes, but overall, its a decent computer although I would not buy another.

Sub $200 Budget Field Recorder

Hey everyone, I've been doing lots acoustic piano stuff with other artists and I am now looking for a portable field recorder for under $200 to sketch out ideas. I don't need amazing quality (but I'd like to get the best sound quality for my $200 budget), but I'd like to have something very portable...

Traktor's 12 + Kontrol X1?

Hey everyone,

I bought Komplete 7 2 months ago. Is it possible to control Traktor's 12 in guitar rig with the Kontrol X1? Will the controls be automapped to the knobs and buttoms?

Re: To partition or not to partition?

I don't have two hard drives for my laptop and I probably will not be purchasing another one for a while.

But are you suggesting that if I do partition, I should store programs, samples, vst's in one partition, then the rest for storage?

To partition or not to partition?

Hello everyone,

I recently bought a new HDD for my laptop and I'm wondering if I should partition. One partition would be for installing programs and the other would be for storage. Would this increase the speed of my laptop? Will it have any benefits?

Thanks,

Rock band 3 keytar as a controller

Hey, does anyone have any experience with the Rock Band 3 keytar as a controller? Looks like it could be fun to use live on stage.

Thanks,
