Re: Global Quantization Reset? I'm going crazy.
So I moved some tracks into the arrangement view and turned off global quantization and set the arrangement position to 1. 1. 1, but for some the session acts as if there is an 8th note rest before the song starts. A.) I'm making a stupid mistake, or B.) this is a bug. I still feel there is somethin...

Global Quantization Reset? I'm going crazy.
Hi, I have a dj style set that I'm building/using and after spending all day yesterday warping tens of tracks perfectly to the metronome I was pleased with the results I was getting. Later I messed around with different global quantizations like 1/2 and 1/8, but eventually decided to leave the globa...

Read the manual, and find books on digital audio and synthesis. Then you'll have a better understanding on how to achieve what you want. It's not the equipment you use. It's how you use them.

Re: FX Chain Select Output On/Off
Couldn't you use a Utility effect in the chain and just use it's Mute function to do this?

Chain Selector Causing Pop and Clicks
There are multiple chains of Beat Repeats in my audio effect unit. I have them all on separate chains and the chain selector mapped to the first macro control. When I move the macro control I hear a click or pop when it's changing to the new unit. Any ideas on preventing it?

I know he does field recordings and just released a library in collaboration with Amon Tobin. I definitely don't think it would be an FM synthesis machine like operator, but I could be wrong.

Re: Chain select + Beat Repeats on different chains = No Audio!
Great idea has solved that issue! I'm sure I'll bump into a few more in the next few days, but the learning process is never truly over.
Thanks!

Re: Best PC for running Live?
Macs can be expensive investments but are typically more reliable than PCs. Since Apple has its hand in all of the hardware within the product it feels and typically functions like a well manufactured instrument. Though it's all preference and you do have to consider that you will be learning a new ...

Re: NI Massive (Noise)
For me I add noise to 'liven' the sound up a bit. I find with computer based audio production most of the sounds are way to clean and noise is a great way to destroying that.

Aftertouch would be sexy.
Since I play a little bit of keyboard I would map it to a lot of parameters within the Ableton Instruments, but you could even map it to cool effects like modulating a reverb dry/wet control within the track while laying down a fat lead.
