Re: June 25th !!!!!!!

There have been some crazy releases from Apple as well, with long delivery times. There was delivery problems for example with iPhone 5, due to quality control. It's not really fair to compare the two companies, my mistake :) I can see why Ableton haven't stocked up before the release, they are a sm...

Re: June 25th !!!!!!!

Yes, it does. 15 minutes ago it said 12-16 weeks.

Probably best to avoid checking the account for a few days, until Ableton has things under control...

Still, I'm really looking forward to using Push.

Re: June 25th !!!!!!!

Feels a bit like a product launch from Apple... More like a typical product launch from Ableton/Akai where it takes at least half a year to over a year from announcement to actual launch. If it was like a product launch from Apple, the Push would have been released when it was announced. Good point!

Hopefully it won't be that long, remember this is the launch day.

With that said, I bet they are pulling out champaign bottles at Ableton HQ tonight...

Re: best way to upgrade to suite 9 and push?

I'm refering to the price for a non-boxed Suite 8 (download) upgrade to Suite 9 with Push, which is USD798 in my case. If I just upgrade to Suite 9 and buy Push from a local music store the price will be approx. USD200 more for me.

Re: best way to upgrade to suite 9 and push?

I asked Ableton support about VAT and shipping on Push, and the response I got was that shipping is free with the quoted price, and it includes national VAT. For me, at least, it's going to be cheaper to order it directly from Ableton.

Re: ***ABLETON AUDIO ENGINE CRASH SOLVED!!!***

I don't know if you've tried this. There are two different ways of killing processes using Task Manager. My experience is that if you just click "End Task" under the application tab in Task Manager, the hanging application more often than not will continue hanging. If you right-click Ableton (or som...

Re: Can't drop audio effects rack

If you have recorded something and are watching the waveform, you can't drag any effects into the channel. Double click the channel name until an empty effects line appear, then you can drag effects onto the channel. I'm refering to the line below session and arrange view. It should be explained in ...

Re: Can't drop audio effects rack

I would guess you have the audio or midi editor open. Double click on track (click on the track name, not inside the clip) to get into the effects.

Any help?

Re: Which new MacBook Pro to get

A bit off topic.. I certainly hope that Apple keeps building the MacBooks pro like they have in the past, making it possible for the owner to do repairs and upgrades to the hardware. I guess it depends on how big a success the retina version is.

Re: Which new MacBook Pro to get

Hi I've got an early 2011 Pro, and the first thing I did was to update to more RAM (got the smallest amount of RAM when I bought it from Apple :) ). I think the HD can be upgraded as well, but this could mean a little bit more trouble due to heat issues, or so I've read. If the casing on the new non...

Re: Which new MacBook Pro to get

Hi One thing to think about, the new retina display macbook pro is that it is truly not upgradable. The new batteries are glued inside the body and the ram is soldered to the motherboard. So if you want more RAM you need to pay Apple price for it when you buy it. The one thing about the "old" Macboo...

Re: Huge white noise issue

I've had this issue as well, I'm not really sure what it is, it could be dodgy drivers from M-Audio, it usually disapears when i restart the interface. What I also have experienced is that the fast track pro needs to be on a powered hub, the USB port (at least on the MacBook Pro) can't supply enough...
