Pitch change; I've seen that mentioned in the feature request forum a couple of times. Still, if you have a clip 'warped' you can use the 'transpose' dial (see the sample display in the clip view) which should allow you to change the pitch without the tempo.

1. Is it possible to change a sample's pitch without affecting the speed?
2. I used to be able to click and drag an instrument (sampler, operator) to a channel and it would just put down the raw instrument, but now I have to select an actual preset to get the instrument down, how can I simply click ...

Are the MP3s DRM-protected? Have you been able to play any other file types, e.g. wav?

I don't believe they're protected and yes I can get wavs in.
