Yes, that's a neat workaround, thanks!
I'd still love a feature where I could just create a new take without loosing all previous comping. Maybe in L13

Re: Comping protection
True, copying a composition to a new take lane is an option.
The origins of each part are lost then, though.

Re: CPU-Overload and glitches in L11 / Windows10 [hopefully solved]
Dusty fans are an explanation for thermal throttling, but this does certainly NOT explain the huge CPU usage differences between L10 and L11.
Experiencing a massive drop in productivity here, since L11 now crackles all over the place in projects I never had problems with before (in L10).

Comping protection
I'm using the new comping feature a lot for recording live instruments and there is one thing that bugs me a lot: Let's say I recorded 5 takes for a certain section of my song. I spent some time choosing the best bits and pieces and think that another take might not hurt after listening to what it s...

Re: B-Keeper live drummer tempo sync for Live
Are there any informations regarding if/when a 64bit version of this great device is coming? For my 64bit windows machine I think the only thing missing is an appropriate (64bit win) bonk~ version.

Link to forum
Am I just too stupid or is a link to this forum really missing on ableton's main site? And is there a link on the website to the change notes? Or is my way - visiting the forum (thank god I know it's adress!), clicking on the link posted in this forum by ableton, being forwarded to the main site - t...

Re: live 9: speed and stability versus live 8
I'm running Live 9 and notice my CPU is being used up much faster compared to Live 8. Tried opening an older project I started on Live 8. Bam, CPU usage off the roof, above 200%, and not a sound. This never happened in my Live 8 before. I've been scouring all morning looking for solutions to this! ...

Re: live 9: speed and stability versus live 8
Why did everything work flawlessly in Live 8 then? My drivers didnt change. Neither did my equipment or my pc. Only Live did.

Mind my words: soon there will be thousands of crackling releases. Ain't gonna be unique no more!

Yeah, you somehow save on distortion effects then. After some time it also serves as an auto-mute.ian_halsall wrote:i noticed some crackling - quite liked it though

Re: live 9: speed and stability versus live 8
Did/does no one else experience severe crackling -> >100 % usage -> total silence (after some seconds of worse and worse crackling) in Live 9?
Most of my projects flawlessly working in Live 8 became barely playable in 9.

Re: live 9: speed and stability versus live 8
using any 3rd party in this project? Yes. But they didn't change. Live did. And since I somewhat naively trusted and ignored the compatibility warning I did overwrite the original project. No more opening in Live 8... So i narrowed the problem and it seems to be connected with me playing the set wi...

Re: live 9: speed and stability versus live 8
I am getting some intermittent crackling noise that I do not get with 8. I have a pretty new desktop win 7 PC. I have not chanegd the audio settings/buffer size. Curious if others are having that issue Yeah me too. Reminds me of Live's darkest hours. I also get usage percentages > 200% again; heavy...

Re: dual monitor support damnit!!!!!
another word: they released live 9 and developed Push now - with the main goal, that you can play ableton without watching the screen. for me it seems, that a DMS is against their philosophy! why the hell i should waste human recources on implementing a feature for watching on more than one screen,...
