Re: 9.0.5 crashing ALL THE TIME.

i do get beach balls a lot with 9.0.5

but why are my instruments missing and also my audio effects etc etc in the browser??

Samples do not show in PLACEs

Re: Mixdown

great replies guys.

Can anyone shed any light on the Olav Basoski video though?

Is Olav Basoski telling us about plug ins for Mastering or for Mixdown in this video?

Re: Automation Duplication in Ableton

Check that the automation is not locked. (There is a button with a padlock icon in the top right of the arrangement view; if it's orange, that may be your problem.) erm, that might be it merges!! I will be looking into this. Thanks kindly. I love the Ableton forum YES YES YES YES that was it !!! CH...

Mixdown

Is it better to get a professional to do the mastering? and if so, is it better to use no plug-ins on the master channel before sending to the mastering engineer. Is this good practice? Is Olav Basoski telling us about plug ins for Mastering or for Mixdown in this video? http://www.youtube.com/watch...

Automation Duplication in Ableton

Hi For a long time, I had the impression that when copying a PART, it also copied the automation underneath the part. Then all of a sudden it stopped doing this. (Is this 'cos of different versions of Ableton on my iMac and Laptop tho'?). Now I am using my Laptop and the automation copies again. Can...

I have Ableton, but not Logic.
I was considering buying it as it is only $210.

I like the Ableton Spectrum too - but where did you get the other skins you mention? They seem to be separate from the overall Live skins available in Preferences?
Exactly.

This is great, but how is this achieved? Wicked stuff mate.

Spectral Analyser

What spectral/spectrum analysers are good? to use as a VST plug-in with Ableton.

I am looking for one that is very pictorial with simple waveforms that indicate the frequency in numerical terms.
thanks

I like the Ableton one, but looking for a different one too

Re: From Logic to Ableton

I heard that Rennie Pilgrem uses Ableton, but then transfers the WAV to Logic to do the final mixdown - Is this a good idea?

Logic is only $199 at the moment, so if someone can point me in the right direction, I might go and buy Logic.
