stuck on a production of mine for some drum sounds, i'm sick of sampling drums from other songs.
what does everybody here do to make a kick drum? got any tips to share?
do people record themselves doing various things or is it all done in vsts?

what do you mean by transport control?

in answer to your second question you can change the minimum to maximum in the key/midi panel. open the panel on the right of the screen by clicking the circle with the dot in it on the lower right section of the interface. i only did it in the key ...

link the lpd8 into ableton through the midi section in the preferences, you should see a little yellow corner flash when you press a pad or turn a knob if it's set-up right.
then either use drumracks of impulse, dragging samples onto them, then if you're on the right octave (changeable on the lpd8 ...
