Re: Weird audio glitches during playback/real time export

It's likely a live bug as I have an RME, so MOTU can be eliminated as the cause

I've also been having this and submitted a bug report with an attached video reproduction.

Re: Audio Recording Delay Lag

Let me see if I the under problem the first kick not 'hitting on 1'.
You see a timing discrepancy between the 1.1.1 grid downbeat and the kick right?
Is it a quantized 4/4 kick pre sequenced on the drum module? Are you synchronizing through midi clock to the audio interface?

Re: Audio Recording Delay Lag

Hey there, can you describe your problem more thoroughly? You are record the audio from external modules, disabling ableton (OFF) monitoring option, thereby you are listening through the hardware zero-latency monitor of your soundcard, correct? Live correctly compensates the incurred buffer input/ou...

Re: Audio Recording Delay Lag

Yes, you should turn off monitoring and live will appropriately compensate for the audio device buffer delay. Quoting Ableton manual, page 666 - "Do not enable track monitoring if you are recording MIDI while listening directly to a hardware device such as an external synthesizer (as opposed to list...

Say I'm recording a piano phrase over a 2 bar clip loop that antecipates the downbeat a little earlier and I need to sustain tha...

Re: Note off issue with hardware instruments

I didn't. I filed a bug report at the time, during live 9 beta phase, in getsatisfaction forum .
I was using a lended motif rack for a live project and remember encountering that problem (march 2012), fortunatly never needed it anymore.

I've had this problem with the motif rack as well (play mid clip onto to motif, through midi out)

Re: Why ableton is obsolete in multicore efficiency.

Why? So live can assign the available cpu cores across all tracks during playback. I mentioned single core use in freezing/mixdown only

Re: Why ableton is obsolete in multicore efficiency.

I used reaper as an example, could've been sonar and cubase too - they both export/freeze in half of the time

Why ableton is obsolete in multicore efficiency.

This goes for export, freeze and consolidate - all using a single core
