Ableton Push VST Preset Resources Thread
Ableton creates a barrier between creativity by not supporting VST preset browsing in Push. Since it's release this has been a blatant neglect as they try to force users into their own instruments and effects while ignoring the third party world. Thus, many users have resorted to hacks and workaroun...

Re: Petition To Have Ableton Hire Guy from AudioModder.com
Yeah, I mean there are so many ways to implement this. It's one of those low hanging fruit issues that Ableton could benefit users tremendously.login wrote:I would still prefer MIDI program change, what would meke it superb would be a way to get the name of the preset on the Push screen drectly from the VST.

Re: Petition To Have Ableton Hire Guy from AudioModder.com
Yeah I did the same thing for the Omnisphere and Trillian stuff. It's absolutely nothing more than creating an ableton patch-per-preset and no where ideal but a solution where there currently isn't one. No real skill involved in coding or integration, just some basic automated click scripts really....

Re: Petition To Have Ableton Hire Guy from AudioModder.com
IMO the audiomodder solution is not that good, take a Max for live device wich senda MIDI Program change and Bank change as this one: http://www.maxforlive.com/library/device/1946/keyboard-control and use VSt's that support midi program change, (u-he, spectrasonics and NI have support) and you are ...

Does Ableton even have an API?TomViolenz wrote:stoersignal wrote:
I think if Ableton just were a little quicker in adapting the API to the needs of them, we would all win.

Re: Petition To Have Ableton Hire Guy from AudioModder.com
Ha agreed, the last thing we need is for minds like this to fall into the same system that slows down these innovations but that's why I mentioned hiring him as an employee or full time consultant. The consultant would probably be the best idea. This guy clearly has a very good understanding of not ...

Vocal Comping in Ableton
Obviously an ignored concept to the good folks at Ableton. Recording live musicians, managing multiple takes etc isn't fun, hopefully they'll address in the future but I was wondering if anyone has a good workflow or technique to share.

Ableton Library Management Question
Since owning Live I've upgraded my setup 2 or 3 times. Every time I've done so I've ended up with the dreaded "Media files are missing" message. I was wondering if anyone knew the right way to save patches so that every time a hard drive is changed or computer is upgraded these messages do...

Re: The Great BitWig Migration
Certain features in Bitwig are objectively better, still holds true. Another to add to that list is appearance. The UI is MUCH more pleasant to work with. Some of the workflow innovations they've made are incredible. There's a fair share of quirks but once they polish this a little more there's no r...

Re: The Great BitWig Migration
So far the GREAT migration is only at 12%. Just wait till you use it man, it's really something special. I don't think I can explain how revolutionary this program is. To put it in perspective we're comparing Ableton Live 9.0 to BitWig 1.0 . I repeat, we're comparing Ableton Live 9.0 to BitWig 1.0 ...

BTW, playing catch up on the thread and I agree with everyone who said what good are the features if you don't need them. I agree so for those people the whole objecti...

Re: The Great BitWig Migration
You realize you just posted some things Bitwig does that Live doesn't four posts after someone else posted some things Live does Bitwig does not do? Bitwig is by that very fact not objectively better, but subjectively better. If you need or want the things Bitwig can do you will subjectively like B...
