Re: Yamaha hs80 monitors and the controls on the back???
here is how i have mine setup :
volume (12 o clock, default)
mid eq : default (middle)
high trim : -2 (they sound a bit harsh in the highs, many hs80 users seem to go with this setting)
room control : -2 (my hs80 are close to a wall, this lowers the bass a bit)
low cut : default (flat)

Re: Good price for an Atari ST 1040?
instead of an atari i would much rather get an old AKAI MPC, either the 60 or 3000.
tight timing and instant fun without those atari bombs....

Re: I caved, just bought a Roland MC-303
my studiopartner had one hidden in a plastic bag but he hasnt used it in a decade....of course i had to revitalize it and hook it up to ableton.
it sounds really cool...instant 90s sound ...the sequencer is a bit of a pain in the ass without a manual...compared to my mpc...but i love it...

Question regarding drumrack
When i drag samples into drumrack the default setting is always -12db. i usually end up turning the volume up manually.on each drumhit....is there a way to set the default volume in drumrack to 0db ?
