simulate decay envelope with midi instrument

Hello,

I'm using Ableton Live to control an array of LED boxes. One "mode" for the project is "playing" the light boxes with a MIDI controller, e.g. C1 corresponds to one box.

What I'd like to do is set up some sort of decay envelope for the MIDI data. This could be sent as MIDI CC or note on/note ...

audio dropouts/instability

Hello fellow Ableton users/support staff,

I'm having some stability issues with Ableton and I'm hoping to sort them out. My setup:

7200 RPM harddrive
4 GB RAM (3.3 accessible)
Mac OS X 10.6.4
Ableton Live 8.2
Reason 4

a few questions about DJing and the Session View

A few quick questions here:

1. I often record looping ideas into the Session View using a guitar and midi keyboard (like, a lot of loops). Is there a way I can record automation of the triggering of these loops, or is there some way I can record exactly what sequence everything happens from the ...

Re: [mma] random CPU spikes with multicore support?

Thanks for the reply, but I just fixed it - the cause was AMD Cool n' Quiet. Just disabled it in the bios and everything runs buttery smooth. Thanks! (maybe this is a known issue already)

Re: random CPU spikes with multicore support?

Actually, I've just noticed that it's happening regardless of multicore support.

Is this a Windows 7 64/AMD Phenom II bug or something?

Re: random CPU spikes with multicore support?

It's worth mentioning that I'm using a Presonus Firebox, and that my 1394 card is running in Legacy mode to do so.

[mma] random CPU spikes with multicore support?

Hello,

I'm running Live 8.1.1 on an AMD Phenom II X4 940 3.0 GHz processor with 4 GB 800 mhz RAM. I just installed Windows 7 64 bit (I used to run Hackintosh on this computer). OSX was not quite stable enough for me, so I decided to switch to windows.

When running a Live 8 performance test with ...
