Agreed, sounds like you've got more than enough sound/MIDI stuff but unless you haven't mentioned it you'll want some decent speakers.

Re: Starting a daily music practice: the 40 Minute Music Project

Ever since I started working AND going to school at the same time, I've only done exactly what I want and what sounds good to me in Ableton. I don't try to make a track. Re: Purpose of 320kbps for analog DJing?

edited for a less dickhead response. sorry, I get fired up about this subject. I think it was more the fact that you dragged a 9-month old topic from the grave. I agree though, and also I don't even see why it should be a relevant question - pretty much all reputable online retailers of music for D...

Re: tea drinkers

Tend to rotate between various brands but I do always like Yorkshire, most types of Twinings, and PG Tips for something generic. We have Tetley at work, it does the job. It's interesting when this comes up in forums, it seems the Americans who drink tea seem to enjoy various fancy herbal (or should ...

You're looking in the wrong places, lots of talented people playing vinyl sets and using hardware samplers these days.

If you own Max for Live or Live 9 Suite you have as many as you want. :-D
Guess I'd better start saving then :(

I'm excited if it has audio improvements, been having a very hard time getting Serato working smoothly without pops/glitches on my Win7 laptop.

Re: Is it possible to make trap beats in Ableton? (808 kicks)

You tried either an 808 kick sample or Live's built-in 808 kick Operator preset if you have Operator, and a bit of saturation?

Re: Bass in all electronic music

I mostly make techno/techno-inspired stuff so usually a bassline for me is just a sine, a heavily filtered square or saw, or a "kick bass" (kick drum with the attack removed and some filtering). Producers of other styles like electro-house, brostep and DnB do all sorts of stuff to basslines - layers...
