Thanks guys! I am going to work on this track at my school, add ambiance, add some piano lines and finish it up! I love the advice here, so helpful. If any of you need some help with your tracks, send me some links and I will help you out.

Melodic Hip-Hop WIP - Advice wanted
Hey,
Released a little WIP months ago, and now I want to finish it. I literally have no idea what to call it and if I should see if I can add vocals or ask a friend to rap over it. Advice? Also, is this hip-hop or some other weird cross-genre? I think these questions really reveal my musical ...

HELP - Saved something accidentally...
Hi,
Does anyone know how to "unsave" something? I just made some changes to a mix, and accidentally hit "Save". I'm afraid this was a terrible mistake, lol. Does anyone know how I can "retrieve" the previous file?

Flavors of Friday Mix Vol 1
Hey,
This is the first DJ mix I've ever made. I only used Ableton Live for this. It's a purposefully open-ended mix with songs of various genres, just so I can start to get the hang of this process. Give me as much criticism as you want, because I want to become really good at this type of thing and ...

Who Am I? (Trance track)
Hey guys,
Finished a track that I started a long time ago. Probably my most popular and successful production to date.

Going Anywhere (WIP)
Hey,
A new track I'm still working on. Kind of a cross between genres, but still close to what I normally make. Curious to hear some thoughts...

Who Am I? [Preview]
Hey guys,
Newest track is done (well, sorta). It's a preview, but I like the direction it's heading in. It's trancey, but the 6/4 time signature at the end makes it slightly more interesting (I hope, lol).
Here's the linky: http://soundcloud.com/jshu/who-am-i-preview
Check it out! Thanks,

"Amazonia" - Trance/Tribal - Comments?
Hey brosephs,
This track is pretty unique. It's my 5th track ever, and is sorta a combination of trance and tribal music. A lot of the song involves call-and-response, which gives it that ancient-like feel. OK, enough with the philosophy. Enjoy.

Beginning's End - Trance
Another trance track here. I did quite a bit of sound experimentation in this one. The song has a straightforward structure, with a beginning, middle, and end (hence the name, lol). Enjoy.

Re: A Grand Exploration - Trance
Is it just me or does the bass lack a bit punch?
Otherwise it's sounding good (although it's generally not a sound I'm into). The bass isn't recognizable when heard on computer speakers. Playing it through a good pair of speakers brings the bass out in the song because it is a very low sub-bass ...

Re: A Grand Exploration - Trance
Hey man I posted what got me goin' on SC. Really dig your track. My only caveat is some of the hard hitting synth 'plucks' or what have you in the beginning sound too tinny to me if that makes sense.. I don't know - maybe it's just a matter of taste but I think I'd rather hear something with a bit ...

Re: Something to chill out to-Melodic Dubstep
Very nice work. I enjoyed the vocal chops and spaced-out melody; they complimented each other really well. I think a little more variety would have been nice, but nonetheless, good stuff.

Re: A Grand Exploration - Trance
Sounds are great. Imho there is a little rythmic distraction before the first break, but this is eventually by intention. Beginning at 3:30 it sounds a little bit overcompressed. This is not typical for trance, but also here it is a matter of personal taste. Thank you.
