Re: Looper Improvements
Can we have the looper functions that are now midi-mappable, also be available in DeviceComponent, so that they can also be controlled through your regular ControlSurface? I am specifically talking about: 'Pedal', 'Record','Play','Overdub','Stop','Clear' and 'Undo'. These controls are not available ...

Some Midi Mappable parameters not in Blue Hand Device?
Call me a controllerist if you want, but I'd like to have full control of my devices through a midi controller. I have a BCR2000, so plenty of knobs and buttons. This question is perhaps rather complicated and might need to be answered by someone from Ableton... With the standard Live Devices (Sampl...

Re: Modified Tom Cosm Auto Glitch
I got your auto glitch template. Brilliant. Thanks for that. If I may add a few cents.... I create an extra audio track for each of your 'deck' and 'cue' tracks and call them 'Route 1', 'Route 2' etc. and have the deck/cue tracks sending their audio to these respective 'Route x' tracks. The 'Route x...

Re: MixerComponent.on_selected_track_changed (MidiRemoteScripts)
Right. I thought it must have been something like this. I looked exhaustively at my disconnect()s and there didn't seem to be a problem. This error makes my scripts feel buggy, even after the culprit was fixed, but thanks to your replies, I am more comfortable with it. Isn't it a bit strange that Li...

Re: Korg MicroKontrol - New Python Control Surface Script
I think the APC uses sysex only for 'handshake' purposes. Also, if it is just sysex buttons, these can be handled through a single script, because you can catch the button events in your script and then, sort of, send them on to Live. The problem comes with knobs. These need to be connected within L...

zoom_view in detail/clip not working (MidiRemoteScripts)
Hi, I use Midi Remote Scripts to configure the BCR2000 to pretty much control everything possible in Live. Zooming works very well in Arrangement view, both horizontal and vertical. According to the Cycling LOM, it should be possible to zoom_view for detail/clip, but I have not been able to get this...

MixerComponent.on_selected_track_changed (MidiRemoteScripts)
When working on Python scripts for ControlSurfaces, I frequently run into the following errors: ----------------- RemoteScriptError: MixerComponent.on_selected_track_changed(self) RemoteScriptError: AttributeError RemoteScriptError: : RemoteScriptError: 'NoneType' object has no attribute 'on_selecte...

Re: Midi Remote Scripts - Audio Clip volume?
That is what I was addressing, the fact that the clip volume is not exposed through API. It seems like such an ommission that I wasn't sure I hadn't simply overlooked it. I hope this will be remedied in future releases because it can be really helpful to get an even mix for instance. I have to say, ...

Thanks for the quick reply.
I had seen it there on the Cycling LOM page, but didn't find it on the forum, so couldn't be sure it was being addressed and I'd really like it to work, so...
We'll be eagerly awaiting this fix.

Re: BUG?:Change I/O via Midi controller not working for Midi Inp
Don't mean to nag, but this bug still exists in 8.2.5
I've found a workaround in the mean time. I just tell it to go to track.input_routings[0] and that works.
But still, it is a bug, right. So I thought I'd bring it up again.
Thanks,
Alex

Midi Remote Scripts - Audio Clip volume?
Hi, I'm trying to add functionality to my ControlSurface(python scripts) to adjust the volume of audio clips (detail/clip view). Many other properties of clips can be editted through scripts (transpose, warp/loop on/off, clip/loop start/end...). The audio clip's volume can be midi mapped, but appare...

Fold_state is_foldable not working for Device Chains
Hi, I am trying to add functionality to my ControlSurface (Python scripts) so that I can control the mixer(s) of device chains (vol, pan, mute, solo). Ideally I'd want to do this only if the track with the rack is unfolded in the mixer view, but due to an apparent bug, devicechain tracks don't work wit...

Re: MIDI Yoke on Windows 7?
It seems my enthusiasm got the better of me once again. I am having some trouble with it and reinstalled the good old yoke (had to excavate it ;-)) It seems LoopMidi can not have multiple listeners on the same port, so to speak. With Yoke it is possible to send data out from for instance Live to Mid...

Re: Stutter Effect and MIDI Question
I don't think the previously offered solution would work, since then 1 On/Off switch would need to be mapped to two different notes. That's not possible, is it? In fact, I don't think this can be done with just Live. If it can, I would love to know how it is done. The solution I propose would requir...

Re: I have installed and un-installed Ableton live 8.1.2/8.2.1
Such urgent pleas and no reply. That could make someone feel even worse. (Apparently plants grow very well if you give them love, grow worse when you give them hate, but want to just wither and die when you totally ignore them (overdramatizing of course)). If all you need is the c++ runtime, why not...
