Live 10 crackling sounds

So, I'm having big issues with Live 10. I upgraded to take advantage of the new devices and workflows, but so far, it has been back to Live 9 for me. I'm having lots of issues with Live 9 producing crackling sounds when playing back audio. This can be either playing back recorded MIDI or audio, or b...

Live 8.2.1 memory problems (Win7 x64)

I'm experiencing an interesting problem with Live (8.1.2) under Windows 7 x64. For some reason, after working with Live for a while, when I exit the program, the process remains in memory. Trying to launch Live again, of course, results in a crash. The worst part is that the process cannot be killed...

Re: Finished CD!

Thanks man! It's funny you mention it... although I didn't compose any of these tunes with TV in mind, several people have suggested taking that route to me (TV/Film licensing), due to the nature of the material I work on. The project itself is just the typical "I can play guitar" thing... nothing e...

Re: my first solo EP !!

Okay. I mentioned it because it actually unbalances the tracks quite a bit... I like the fact you kept everything intact in the sub-50hz range, but it's a bit to prominent... maybe you can try compressing the low end further? Just my $0.02... cheers!

Re: Different Live issues (8.1.5)

I guess I am more concerned about the "Can't delete temp files" problem (the plugins problem I was able to solve).
Has anyone else run into this? Thanks!

Re: my first solo EP !!

My only comment on them is that I felt that the mixes are a little heave handed on the low freq's... that would need to be tamed down a bit. Other than that, I really like what you did. Good job!

Finished CD!

Okay... there are no physical CDs or downloads yet (sorting out some legal issues), but the music is out! I would say this project was done 80% in Live (and it's not the kind of music some people would expect from Live). I hope you enjoy it! Reverb Nation: http://www.reverbnation.com/sergiomucino Fa...

Different Live issues (8.1.5)

Hello everyone. I'm having some issues with Live 8.1.5 running under Win7 x64. First, I'm having some general stability issues with plugins that I did not have under WinXP x32. Things just seem more unstable, and Live is crashing rather frequently. One of the things that I've observed is that after ...

Re: ADC not working properly in Live?

Niiceee... thanks mass! Looks like Live is doing some interesting routing there, which results in two signals with one sliiightly delayed... that explains why also trying to set a DC value manually never worked for me...

Thanks! Problem solved... next! :D

Re: ADC not working properly in Live?

There are no plugins on the set besides the compressor. The idea was precisely to perform a test as objectively as possible. I guess that now that you mention it, my next test will be to exclude all plugins from loading, and see what happens if I do the same... I don't see why, but maybe something i...

ADC not working properly in Live?

I was wondering if anyone else was having problem with delay compensation in Live. I've had this for several versions... it seems ADC doesn't work well. I'm wondering if something is wrong with my setup.I've made sure Delay Comp is checked in the menu... and it doesn't seem to work (it does make a d...

Re: meter plugin with K-System implementation

I'm going to re-bump this one because of the importance of metering. ITB recording and mixing suffers greatly just because metering is not properly implemented in most DAWs. Users tend to record signals as close to 0 as possible, therefore leaving no headroom for anything. The problem is that 0 in L...

Re: Live 8... not ready to ship.

I see. To add up to things... I just discovered something new. I spent all day working on a mix in Live 8, saving 4 sequential files (I always save sequential files in case something goes wrong, I can back-track to a previous file that will open). At one point, I started to get this message saying "...

Live 8... not ready to ship.

Sorry to put it this way (and maybe this topic has been beaten to death already), but I must not be the only one very disappointed with Live 8. All the new features are very nice, and I appreciate Ableton has listened to its customers, but they're really worth nothing if I can't use them. I just upg...
