Re: Push owners: has Push replaced the keyboard?
Push and my MPK compliment each other. Like others have said, Push is great for rhythmical melodies but I still like to use a standard keyboard for playing more traditional instrument sounds. Best of both worlds.

Re: Ableton Audiosuite?
Ah ok i see what you mean i think, switches the plugin off when not in use. You could try using automation to do it, you dont even have to set anything special in Live, just switch off the plugin while recording and on when needed and you will record a seperate automation to switch it on and off at ...

Re: arranging process is stressing me, please help
I tend to arrange by making scenes in sequential order in Session view and then tweaking once the basic structure is recorded to arrangement.
Or sometimes just like 3dot says, hit record and play. I am going to have a go at Tarekith's subtractive arrangement view though, see how that works for me.

midi dropout with MPK61
My keyboard controller is an Akai MPK61. It has a strange quirk which is more puzzling than annoying and I wondered if anyone elsde has come across this? If i boot up my PC (win 7 64bit) and then start Live and add a midi track, the MPK will play notes normally for around 10 seconds and then stop. I...

I don't think it is possible, unless you upgraded license to 8 and then downloaded live 7 software. Would that work?

Re: loops "pop" at play head very annoying
sometimes adding a couple milliseconds to the attack of the amp envelope helps, depending on the sample and where you are looping in the sample.

Re: Ableton Audiosuite?
Yes, I know I can turn it on or off every time I need it, but if I'm working let's say, with 12 backing vocals and 2 lead vocals, that would be 14 tracks, for one key of the song, plus 14 more tracks if I want to change the key of the song, not to mention that for this 28 tracks, there's gonna be t...

Re: sick of so many loops in sample packs
I don't think i have ever used a pre-made loop. Have you checked out the Puremagnetik site? They do some cracking little instrument multisample packs, new one every month and if you subscribe they are very cheap. I love the randomness of them, one month its a classic organ, next it's a moog opus or ...
