Removing vocals (or any other part) from a finished song is very difficult. There are a few tricks that sometimes do a half-decent job, but rarely a good one.
Think of a finished song as being a baked cake, and you're trying to remove the eggs

Re: Solution to 'didn't press scene at right time'?
If the next scene always needs to be triggered at the same point (eg 16 bars after the previous one starts), just use follow actions rather than doing it manually

Re: Affordable 303 Emulation-Vst for Mac
I wanted something 303-ish with not too many knobs that i can map to 2-3 midi controller knobs and be done with it. There are 1000 other synths if i want more options. The 303 i wanted in order to restrain me a bit in my workflow. Not give me 2016 additions and possibilities. Thats why Phoscyon ......

Re: sidechain compression with fabfilter pro-c
Using sidechain in 3rd party plugins is a real pain in the arse unfortunately.
On the plus side, Live's built-in compressors work great, and the workflow is miles easier. I'd just use them for sidechain duties.

Re: Affordable 303 Emulation-Vst for Mac
How is Phoscyon too complicated? Just ignore the arp and overdrive and it's pretty much a 1:1 emulation (in terms of interface).

Re: Link to Midiclock hardware box
The innerclock stuff will work for this - Runs as a plugin generating perfect midi clock from a DAW - If that DAW is ableton running link, all should be synced

Re: HOW TO: Use a single effects rack with multi channel output
The only simple way I can think of working this would be to have an instance of the effect on each channel being sent to FOH, but all mapped to the same set of controls. Obviously higher CPU load and (depending on what effects are used) mightn't sound 100% the same, but would be relatively simple to...

Sounds like normal behaviour to me - Use compression if you need the level to be more consistent.

Re: Help with Sting! from skinner box
You need to make a second midi track, set that to record from the track with sting on it, then drag those clips back to your original track and disable sting so that the midi from the clip plays through the instrument.

Re: How to make this simple synth sound?
You'll struggle to get this sound with an analogue style synth like Sylenth. It's a real string sound (most probably from a sample library). Try the Orchestral Strings pack from the Ableton site. Can't remember if there's a Marcato preset in there, but if there is, that'd be a good starting point.

Re: Ableton live needs to handle multiple recording takes
Would be great if they implemented this in the next version.
In the mean time, I find Reaper does a great job of this for little cost (useful if it's not something you're doing all the time)

Easier way - just select the first 8 bars (on any track) and press CMD-I (CTRL-I if your on windows) to insert silence.

Re: Live 9.5 crashes/issues
First full day on 9.5 and plagued with crashes here. Couple of 9.2 projects wouldn't load at all, and several seemingly random crashes (dropping plugins onto a channel, consolidating an audio clip etc). Also had instances of UI glitchiness (blank window when selecting where to put rendered file). Lo...
