^ ditto what they both said, the 1/4 jacks are for footswitches, not audio inputs.

Re: How can I know what key the sound is in ?
in reply to your thread title:
C major... or F major... or maybe A minor, perhaps D minor, how about G minor?
The question is misguided because a minor chord preset is not going to determine what key you are in! it could be *any* key that has a Dmin chord in it.

Re: I have Ableton Suite but now I heard iZotope Ozone/Alloy...
So I have purchased Suite which came with many audio effects. But then Slate's plugins are very popular. When I try out the trial I see many if not all function can be build by using Ableton's audio effects. So I have purchased some Slate mastering plugins. But then Sonnox' plugins are very popular....

BHK has some good dnb packs, but you can also find plenty of free stuff with a little googling. if you're...

Hey everyone, just to follow up on this, I checked my updates today, and there's a 1.2.1 version that purports to have solved most of the issues!

Re: Please help, I am really confused
What I wanted to be able to do is program my samples and noises into the controller That isn't how midi controllers work, the midi controller sends midi signals to your computer, and triggers instruments and samples in Ableton, which then plays the resultant audio through the speakers. This info sh...

Re: Cant hear some midi notes, help
it could possibly be that either your speakers lack enough bass extension, or that whatever you're using for playback doesn't play notes that low. Is it a sampler? synth?

Re: Creating instrumental/techno songs in Ableton
Better than downloading a few of them would be downloading one of them, and spending a lot of time with it. I'd say synth1 personally.tonyd927 wrote:

Re: Korg Volca Keys Recording into Ableton
if you have a midi cable going in, it will sync, as long as you have the sync option checked under:
Live < Preferences < Midi/Sync < (select sync button for your audio interface, or whatever device the midi cable from the Volca is plugged into)

Re: Korg Volca Keys Recording into Ableton
You definitely need another cable, midi cables do what they say they do, transmit midi messages, you also need a way to bring that audio back into Live. You'll need a 3.5-to-1/4 audio cable, or a 3.5-to-xlr, depending on what inputs your audio interface offers, looking at the mtrack, probably xlr, p...

Re: CamelAudio quit
I wonder what happened, beyond the mindset of some people that:
"I can download software for free off the internet with no repercussions whatsoever"
It seemed like they had a pretty good thing going over there. Well, I hope Alchemy is built to last, because I use it all the time! Shame!
