complex pro use crashing live 9
I have been making samples from selected radio spots via the http://websdr.ewi.utwente.nl:8901/ (Check it out- free website with full spectrum radio listening... you can do your own tuning, FM Am shortwave etc. with a record option, you can then download the file to -in my case, iTunes- then open sa...

Re: Mavericks crashes: anyone else?
Odd, my computer wouldn't regularly freeze up... but with OS X10.9 and Live 9.0.6- I couldn't access my iTunes music library- I thought maybe it was some evil Mac plot to keep us from tweaking our music, but with 9.1 beta, I can access iTunes... My complaint is that Max for Live is R E A L L Y slow ...

Re: importing files
Hi... I was trying to do it via the "places" add folder protocol... it wouldn't open- I couldn't access the open button... I am now using the live 9.1 beta and it is working fine... I think the trouble is a Live 9.0.6/ OS X 10.9 Mavericks compatibility issue... My only complaint with the B...

importing files
I recently upgraded to OS X 10.9 Mavericks. I upgraded to Live9 Suite yesterday, and have, so far, been unable to access my iTunes music files.
Is this an apple restriction?, a deliberate limitation set by Ableton?, or am I missing something?
Thanks

Sure is quiet over there at the Ableton website.
Seems like something must be brewing over at the ableton crib. Nothing new or announced in weeks. Any comments? Ideas?

Don Van Vliet "Captain Beefheart" has died.
For those of us old enough to remember, The Captain made it alright to be... different. Years ago I went to see Muddy Waters at the Roxy in Hollywood. A little Corvair pulled up to the curb and out popped the Captain in full Trout Mask Excellence! He was the nicest Guy, chatting up everyone in the l...

Machinedrum SPS-1 UW+
I plan on buying the machinedrum SPS-1 UW+ through the Elektron website. Before I make the actual purchase, I thought I'd just ask anybody out there if they are happy with Elektron, their products, service and shipping. For instance, would it make more sense to buy from Sweetwater than to buy direct...

MIDI, gear chain question
So, if your only access to live is through the MIDI channels on your motu, and you use a Nord as a synth and as a controller, what do you do if you wanna add another instrument (drum machine) to the chain?
I know, serious beginner question... sigh...
Thanks

Can you recommend a good reference...
I have a motu ultralite mk3. It works great for midi relay and as an audio/digital converter and there is alot more that I would like to do. In reading the manual, It seems that it is assumed one knows his/her way around a mixing board; I do not. How to use pedals other than in a direct signal line?...

Re: Akai apc 20 or apc 40? Thanks again!
Thanks again for the feedback. So after all that, I upgraded to live suite and I bought me-self "The Great Destroyer" (serious fuzz/starve/distortion stomp box) by Dwarfcraft. APC40 is next, then a really awesome drum machine... then...& then.................. getting the jones for har...

Re: Akai apc 20 or apc 40?: ..... Thanks
"Its about time, its about space, its a story 'bout the human race.... (up a 1/2 step) Its about time......." Probably waaaaay too cryptic a reference, but I do appreciate the humor. Thanks for the help and

Akai apc 20 or apc 40?
Apc 20 or 40? It seems that the only difference is in space and size. Is there something I'm missing? What do you think?
Other question is, should I wait until the holidays to buy? Any new stuff on the horizon from Akai/Ableton?
Thanks,Logeek
