Re: Frak me, gearlust !!! just bought another stuff... Mackie C4

Refund my arse. * ...

Re: Backwards compatability

how do other DAWs treat this mess? can you open new stuff in older versions? can you download older versions? nope. probably for all the same reasons Ableton don't allow it either... what other daws have you used 3dot ? ..and in terms of stability how do they all compare ? Also, what about advertis...

Re: Backwards compatability

the thing is, if live 7 was still for sale on their website and in stores - people would still be buying it. They could be beta testing live8 for a much longer period, open to existing licensees only, and they could get into selling content for yearly cash-fixes in addition to live7 sales. their rep...

Re: Backwards compatability

maybe you're over-thinking it TD. when I think backward compatible, all I'm thinking of is an option in Live8 (forexample): File>Export_As_LIVE7SET and voila, a live7 set is saved. anything conceptually incompatible would be rendered into audio clips where possible, and at least you can go to your g...

Re: Dubstep producers - Whats your flow & plugins!

too late to get into dubstep mates, the genre is already totally overloaded! thus, it's the new hype those days, besides fidget electro house... don't follow the hype! too late to tell people it's too late to get into dubstep mate. that fact is already totally obvious for some years now. thus, it's...

Re: Ableton, help me to help you!

This is an incorrect perspective. I'm not stating you are diminished because of that perspective, it's just not the case. Live will crash, and does crash, randomly. That's why the Abes have not been able to get this thing right. For instance, Live has always loved NI. No question. I can use NI stuf...

Re: Ableton, help me to help you!

well, sometimes a 3rd party plugin will CONFLICT (I wouldn't say crash, necessarily) with ableton live resulting in a crash. From our point of view it's hard to say who's at fault. But I think if the same 3rd party plugin works fine in other hosts, it's Ableton who need to sort it out... no ? I thin...

wow, this discussion is beyond the beyond of extreme brain retardation. I haven't seen so many uptight twiddle-pots with their adult-diapers all knotted up in one place since...hmm, the last time someone said something that was taken too seriously. you're too easily wound up.
