Re: Comb and Formant Filters for Operator and Auto Filter
In the meantime I got BiFilter2 from Tone2, this one is quite good (although analog filter types are too heavily overdriven). Autofilter has minimum 2 poles, otherwise there would be no Bandpass Filter. And what is the problem in copying in more poles? Then, also steeper curves would be available. A...

Re: -18db digital = 0db analog
I wonder how all these analog emulations are dealing with this? What reference will they use? Or doesn't it matter?

Re: How can I make my mix transitions be smoother?
Thanks a lot. Now with the EQ (I'm using the EQ Eight), would I just enable that to be on on the part of the outro of Audio 1 (just in this case) and then enable an EQ8 for the part in the intro or where ever I have placed the beginning of my Audio 2 track. Or simply EQ'ing the last entire segment ...

Re: How can I make my mix transitions be smoother?
I think (and I am not even a semi-professional DJ), the selection of the tracks is the first step. Then it is important when you make the transitions. As you already wrote, you will want to morph the track into each other. That is, the actual playing parts have to fit each other. Then you should fir...

Re: Auto delete old version
Not always, sometimes your're lucky that the old one is still installed (new versions means also new bugs, perhaps).
But I also like to have a save uninstall option during install of a new version. But it should be an option, not an "auto delete".

Re: How to control violin vibrato?
As far as I understood, "Motion" is more of a Tremolo and not a Vibrato effect? Is this different between instruments?

Re: How to control violin vibrato?
if htere isn't a macro for "Vibrato", you'll have to check, whether this was set up in the sampler or not. Open the Rack view, and see, if any LFO is assigned to pitch or something.

Re: Limiter or Lower Track Volume in Automation?
Why not EQ those disturbing mid-frequencies?
if it is not to hard, I would automate volume. If this gets too complicated, use a compressor, but not a limiter. The limiter is, in coarse words, for peaks that you can't hear.

It should be sufficient to place a highpass filter on the clap track, if you have DC-offset.

Re: Auditioning sounds with programmed patterns and through fx?
I am no tsure, but hot swapping racks would do the trick or? Bu tI guess you can't do this in the actual version of Live, or can you?
This way you could step through your Instrument Racks and instrument and effects are changed at the same time... or did I misunderstand you?

Are you sure you want it on your pitch wheel? I bet you also have a modwheel?
You can access Lives MIDI mapping with the button to right and assign a controller to whatever you want.

Are you sure, that your interface is working properly (on other software maybe)?
Maybe there is a driver update at focusrite, that you could try?

Re: No sound after recording.
Check the "monitor" state of the track (in the session view). When set to "off", you should be able to play back your recorded clip. "Auto" should also work unless you armed the track for recording. In that case you can also un-arm the track and playback should work.
