Just to reiterate what everyone else has said, keep Windows 7. I have Win7x64 on my desktop and 1 laptop and x86 on another laptop, and I have had fewer crashes and better performance on them than I ever had on XP.

If you can globally change the pitch of any sample pressed on the launchpad surface with a bcr2000 encoder as the pitch controller it might be helpful to be able to map a cc button to press that then reverts that sample pressed by the launchpad surface back to the correct pitc...
