Hi scientist, like I said, live only transmits the track names. No chance to get the clip names! Besides you can't read a .pyc file because they are in machine-code! The only way to find out what live is transmitting to the sl is to route the midi-out of live to midi-ox or something... And the...

Abes - how about some freaking documentation on automapping for our devices?? /signed :!: + info on what the native control surfaces can do and what not, so they can be emulated. I'm trying to make some automaps, but sends, for instance just don't seem to work for me, even though volume faders do.....

Re: questtion re: Macke control over plugins
There's a fairly easy way that I've found in other software to select the plugin parameters that will show up in a given plug, the order they show up in, and to give them better names....is there a way to do this in Live v6? Unfortunately NO! ...for some reason, you only seem to be able to access t...

Hi, I own a kontrol49 (which is quite the same as microkontrol, only bigger). I sort of like the pads and sliders. Only problem I have is that the first of the encoders doesn't work correctly in some cases (but this may be a bug of my controller?!?) All in all I'm quite happy with it! (Especially be...

Yes, maple should work fine. I sort of have it working with my code, just have to rename the ports and ill have my own midi inpus/outputs!! Quite complicated but it's worth it not having to use midiYoke making it easy on the user. Seems like you have to license it. If you do it, could you keep me u...

i remeber in a beta version of live 6 there was a feature for the Sl where that you could select the rack/effect/instrument of any track without having to touch the mouspad. this would show up in live as that purple hand icon when you select effect/instrument. that was an awesome feature i started ...

 YEP, I got it! Just figured out the answer of two questions at once: 1.) on/off buttons where did they go? 2.) What is the difference between RemoteSL and RemoteSL Classic (MackieControl and MackieControl Classic) You got it, too?!? By choosing the Classic versions in your preferences you can...

Guys, common, seriously! Rotaries for on/off suck! You've got a billion buttons to use for on/off buttons! And buttons, well they feel like buttons, not knobs! =better... In mackie mode (for example on a bcf) it absolutely made sense because of the push-encoders! You know: push-encoders = buttons :...
