Re: Setting up Ableton outputs for live performance
Hi Stacy, My advice would be to either: 1. Work closely with the live sound engineer and get him familiar with the balance of all of your material before the event, and also have a dry run with him handling your balance (at least in the studio), record it and listen back to it together with him so t...

Re: Critical questions about signal routing! Help?
It's most likely an issue with the software mixer for your interface and that your channels are at unity gain.
Could you take screenshots of all the other pages of your Fast Track Ultra window? i.e. Monitor 1/2, 3/4 etc...
Thanks.

As a rule of thumb, I recommend working with WAVs

Re: 8.0.4 search freeze bug
Are there any updates on this issue? It's alright after the first search (taking about 2 - 3 mins on my 160gb external I am usually searching on during DJ gigs), but it seems to rebuild the index every time I restart Live (especially annoying right before a show the following night!) On 8.1.3 at the...

That actually sounds like a fantastic idea and rather fair as well! How do you plan on distributing this? I wish you all the best

Re: APC40 Broken Fader (Fader 3)
Right, turns out the base of the fader to which it used to be attached to is completely wankered. No choice here but to figure out how to get it repaired officially. I guess it's for the better. Posting pictures shortly... Does anyone know what the the best way is to get this unit fixed in Asi...

Re: APC40 Broken Fader (Fader 3)
Ok removing the nuts and washers have done the trick. Almost done taking those off. Hope this fader issue is fixable! If not, i hope i haven't completely fucked up warranty (which I think I have, but didn't I lose that already by bringing this over from America?)

Re: APC40 Broken Fader (Fader 3)
Nope, no go. Unless you mean removing the washers and nuts. They seem to be responsible for holding it fast. This is a bigger pain in the ass than the time i had to repair a broken rotary knob on my BCF2000! Should i take it that far (removing those nuts and washers) or admit defeat and have it fixe...

APC40 Broken Fader (Fader 3)
Hey all, As the topic name suggests, I'm in a bit of a dilemma and could really use your help! My APC40 came outta my carry-bag with the fader AND the metal shaft seperate from the main unit - much like what happened to D K ( http://forum.ableton.com/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=124493 ), however, in my ...

Spaces in Leopard 10.5.7 with Live 8.0.4 - UI Problems
Hi all, I just updated to Live 8.0.4 today, and along with the lovely bugfixes that were made, I was hoping to no longer see the ever-annoying issue I've been having with Spaces + Live since I upgraded to 8. I am aware of someone posting about their issues with spaces in regards to Leopard / Live no...

A 6% change in tempo results in approximately a semitone shift in key. When mixing, it's just a matter of doing a quick calculation in your head. Eventually when you've been doing it often enough, you kinda tend to get a rough idea as to which situations will and won't work i.e. a track in B minor i...
