Export Midi with Scale filter?
So I just found out if you right click on a midi file and export it, the effects of the scale filter or plugin (found in the Midi Effects in Live Devices) wont be taken into consideration at all. So if I export a midi file with the scale set to -12, and then export another file with the scale set to...

Moving Start and End markers with hotkeys?
In the clip window, once I have selected a section of a clip (highlighted it), and hit ctrl+L and looped it, is there anyway to simply move the start and end markers for the clip to the start and end of that loop? I find it kind of odd the it doesn't do this automatically anyway. Why would I want to...

Script or Bathc possiblity?
Are there any kind of script or batch availability in Ableton that will allow you to do things like render all projects in a certain folder all at once and all automatically?
Is anybody here familiar with MAX? Can it do things like this?

copying VSTs by only copying the .DLLs???
After I have installed a vst to my plugin in folder, can I just copy whatever it placed in there (usually a .dll, sometimes another folder of data as well), save that to a disk, and then just copy everything back to my plugin folder if i have to reinstall Live? To put it another way, do I have to re...

Back up my custom settings?
You know how you can tweak an effect and then save those settings as a preset by clicking on the little save button in the effect? How can I back those up to an external drive? I'm getting ready to wipe my hard drive and re-install everything, and I have a lot of custom made presets like that. How c...

A request for help, and a warning!
So I recorded some feedback through ableton, using the "webcam" mic and the native speakers in my laptop. For those who are into feedback, you should try it. It works pretty good, and you can adjust the amount of feedback and the tone by how much you close the laptop. Be careful though, if...

Re: A request for help, and a warning!
This seems to give me the same error before it will even display fully in the browser. I will post in support.

Re: A request for help, and a warning!
thats a good idea! the only thing I can think is that maybe the actual audio isn't the problem, but all the "data" in the clip, aka, start/end time, gain, color of clip in window..I'll give it a try! I guess this is a good place to ask, does anybody know if Abelton actually creates another...

Re: would you release on, or buy a cassette tape?
Hank Shocklee has used cassettes basically as a type of compression. Recording not whole mixes, but individual tracks into a cassette deck at a high volume to really saturate the tape, and then recording the tape back into whatever (DAW, 16 track,...)
