Sudden lag after installing version 11
Hello!
I decided to upgrade to version 11 (from 10) lately, and I can't record as I used to previously. I've got a Shure SM57 plugged into a Presonus 26c to record guitar and after the upgrade, I suddenly got wicked lag. In my 10 version setup, it was fine. Tbh, I don't really remember if I had to ...

Inserting into arrangement view...
Hi there!
This one really feels silly, but I've been looking at this for a while and with no success.
Suppose I have 5 tracks in my arrangement view, and I want to insert new clips in these 5 tracks (of course, they're all aligned vertically).
The problem is if I paste, it'll paste over what's ...

"Programming" music ?
Hi there!
Do you people know of any way to "program" music in Ableton ? Say, if a Limiter is cutting anything between -12db and -18db I want this or that effect to be triggered ? Is this what Max 4 Live is ?
Thanks.

Re: Writing song with mastering in mind from start- NEWBIE help
AFAIK, well applied EQ8's and compressors; to beef up certain groups (side-chain compression) and compressors on the main mix itself.
You'll be amazed at how loud your tunes will sound once you start mastering, or even just using those. Compressors can also squeeze out sounds you never really ...

i dont thing there are lot of sawtooth in there... maybe two + subosc or doubled by a sub bass.
some distortion and sidechain compressed by the bass drum. monosound, retrigger off.
Hmm, that's more than I can handle. Compressed by ...

What's this synth sound ?
Hi all!
I need some mastering masters' advices.
I'm not trying to copycat this sound, but understand what's being done and tweak it some to my likings.
Listen to http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UMS3gqc7eRs at around 2:10
This is some serious phat saw synths. How many saws do you think there is ...

If I don't use fixed, I can't get low enough for sub bass. I'll have to double check that this evening.

Operator deep sub bass constant....
Hi there!
I'm having this issue where I want a nice sine wave deep sub bass, set it to the frequency I want, but (of course) when you play notes, it's always the same note that comes out.
Do I have have to map the Freq. knob to the virtual keyboard or something ?
Thanks!
