Something I really miss in Live is the ability to link clips to each other. Basically what it means is if you make a change to a clip every other clip that is linked to it will change too. This would allow for instance a pattern based approach for music creation.

thanks ark! still i wonder what the 'official' updating process is. usally with other software you update the existing installation, which i would also prefer.

I have a question regarding the update procedure of Ableton. Do I have deinstall the old version first before I install an update? Or is it ok to install the update over the previous installation?
