Re: NEW MAC PRO -- FINALLY!

The topped out one is really killer but so is the price. If they gave me one I would take it.

Re: Bitwig UI makes Live look old-fashioned

I guess I'm not from generation that needs my eye candy to work with a DAW. I even use Reaper's plain GUI. I have the CM version of Bitwig and I just don't dig it. I'm not gonna switch anytime soon. I'm not talking about "eye candy". You obviously did not read at all, just jumped in with an opinion...

I'm impressed that you actually could run stuff on that. Is that a laptop? Those are almost cell phone specs.

Re: Alternative to ableton,

How dare you try and calm me down and talk sense? LOL seriously I didn't know that, for the record I'm an old dad who's trying to set this up for the kids. I even have a launchpad to set up at the same time. I've tried following the instrictions that came with it, but got lost in the set up calibra...

Re: Reaper/Live users have an MPE workaround!

Nice tip. Out of curriosity, how long have you been using Reaper? I decided to give it a tenth chance about a year ago and I finally clicked with it. It took a while to set it up how I like it, but after setting it up I have been using it almost as much as Live. There's a lot more support on how to...

Live's database is just plain bad.

Why did they do this after Live 8. The database folder adds to OS drive space. It is slow after you reset it. I had to reset since it was showing files no longer on my system and probably imported that from my Live 9. When I buy samples they go to my downloads folder. They get unzipped and auditione...

Re: Live 10 upgrade path

Yeah, for loyal Ableton supporters, $299 upgrade is ridiculous. How unfortunate, as I was all in for Ableton. It will now remain as a live 9 performance tool, and music will be made with Reason. Bummer. It is $250 on sale, that's when people upgrade. If you are going to pick the worst case for the ...

Re: Live 10 upgrade path

I'd have to agree that the Suite to Suite upgrade is a terrible value. It's my last version of Suite. No real upgrades in it to justify the price. 3rd party stuff is better if you have Kontakt, Synthmaster 1, Serum. I know you get Max 8 but I find Live gets really deep when you get into it more and ...

Stick with 10.0.2?

See more than one thread on performance issues with the latest version.

Anyone doing fine with 10.0.3? I use a desktop.
