I'm not sure I agree with what you've written here - it's half baked - plenty of people use Ableton in the way that I do. Tape machine, what? I'm trying to use it as sequencer/DAW - exactly what it's meant to be used as - whether that's in session or clip view.

I'm currently setting up click tracks in Ableton via the use of a MIDI track that triggers a standard audio sample. The MIDI track is made up a number of MIDI clips - each representing a section. There are tempo changes between each sections as well.

I'm looking for an Ableton MIDI foot controller, for doing loops, starting/stopping clips, controlling volume levels or general expression pedal movements. I noticed an old forum post here:
