I read it has M4L in Live 9 has support for Gen but doesn't include it.
Does that mean Gen can be added to m4l or that m4l can use devices developed with Gen?

Re: Max4Live Jitter and Video
That should have read:
Currently max4live €129 plus Live9 upgrade (from live 8 ) €149 = €278

Re: Max4Live Jitter and Video
If you're thinking about getting max4live and live 9 when out (as I was)
Currently max4live €129 plus Live9 upgrade (from
€149 = €278
Live8 to Live suite 8 €239 and includes free upgrade to live9 suite which now includes m4l
So you save a bit of cash and get all the suite instruments.

Max4Live Jitter and Video
Hi all,
wondering whether to go for Max4Live.
One thing I haven't really been able to find an answer for:
What capabilities the Jitter component has to allow processing/playback of video within Live? Or have I completely misunderstood that part of it?
Cheers

Re: Running Ableton Live on a Netbook?
I've put live8 on an Acer AspireOne netbook. Main reason was to have a small portable writing setup. Not sure of the processor speed but its the usual Intel Atom device and 1gb of ram.
First thing, you have to have an external asio audio interface. Able to run NI Kontakt. To get anything worthwhile ...

I currently run a Fujitsu Amilo D running windows XP with an Edirol UA-20 audio/midi interface, everything runs stably with a latency of 8ms.
