well, there's always a resolution... that's digital for you. the closer you got to the actual waveform, the more complex the waveform would get... only encoding/decoding would be much more intensive.

also, i have a feeling our ears are much more adept at picking out the simplicity of a waveform ...

I'm helping a friend (who uses macs) pick out a firewire soundcard. I think the Firebox is gonna be the one I reccomend to him. it is a little more than he needs right now but ...

i think preview is well suited to like, kicks when you're producing

it's not like a dj selects his songs by looking at the grooves in the record

i keep a filter in each track all the way open, and often to switch out or switch in i'll draw in an envelope for the filter... that way i can focus on ...

i dont see the turntables blocking the crowd's view, so why should the laptop?

1) why is faderfox the only person out with a midi controller mixer? why is there so much press on sasha and hawtin's controller and no one even attempting to emulate them on a mass scale? as someone considering building his own, and realizing that it really isn't hard or expensive, i wonder why ...
