Waves Plug-ins, Mac OS X
Does anybody know how to get Waves plugins to "stick" in Live? When I open a set that contains any Waves plugins, I get prompted to "select a WAVES plugin..." for each one. Very annoying. Is this a Waves issue or a Live issue?

Can't select mono input from MOTU 828
I just upgraded to v2 and noticed that I am unable to select a mono input from my Motu 828. I am forced to select a stereo pair. Mono was allowed in 1.5. However, I can select a mono source from Reason. What gives?

I haven't used OS9 for a while, but from what I recall, I think you need to put the 828's ASIO driver in Live's ASIO folder. Restart Live and then select the 828 in audio preferences. The cool thing about the 828 is that you can use the headphone output as your cue and send the mix out separately. B...

Unstable in OS X? Weird. I can't wait to never use OS 9 again. But alas, the Motu 828 and Reaktor are holding me hostage in OS 9-land. Anyway, I have no problem slaving external midi devices to Live in OS 9.2, and the reverb IS there for me. Sounds like you're using version 1.1 in OS 9 and version 1...

I definitely agree that the right hardware is key. I use a 500Mhz g4 powerbook and a Motu 828 -- works great, no hiccups ever!!! True, DJ's are a dime a dozen, but I wouldn't call Richie and John's use of Final Scratch much of a departure from straight up dj-ing. It's still two decks and a mixer. Do...

VST Instrument support!!! Ok, I know this has been discussed before, but I didn't really care then :). But now I have Reaktor...now I care!!! Seriously folks, what harm could possibly come from having VST Instrument support? There's already VST plugin support. It's not like adding midi sequencing or...

Yeah, I agree about 2 tracks not being very much, but the beauty of it is that I never get close to taxing my cpu. Actually, since I did that set, I've augmented my setup a bit. I've incorporated my TR-909, Jomox Airbase99, and Nord Modular. Also, I picked up a Kenton Control Freak Live (the red one...
