you should use traktor or similar for that... traktor 3 is pretty good now in recognizing the tempo. i use live for composition and live impro with samples, not entire songs.

I am selling my Kontakt 2 license for 170 euros as I don't use it. The license is legal and free: I contacted NI to un-register my account.

I can either:
- just send the serial number by mail (if you already got Kontakt install). That's the quickest and easiest solution.
- send the box version ...

I finally found the answer on the propellerheads site:
- new Mac Intel computers require Reason 3.0.5. update to get Rewire work with Ableton Live :-(

I just bought a new MacBook with Mac OS 10.4 and I have a serious problem. I have Live 6 and Reason 2.5 installed. The 2 softwares work perfectly separately but when I try to rewire Reason to Live, I get an error with Reason asking me to reinstall it. That's what I did but still does not work ...

I bought an iBook G3 5 years ago (it is still my main computer!) and I had to use the AppleCare twice:
- one to change the screen (there was a flaw on this model and the internal screen cables were cut)
- one to replace the video card that just died one day.

I am actually, the power in my studio is all properly balanced and grounded, thanks to a hefty UPS system. Again, it's only noticeable higher volumes, otherwise it's fine.

That's strange... as i said earlier, i directly plug my iBook on my monitoring system and i don't have any ground noise even ...

I usually directly plug my iBook on the sono. I never tried with an external sound card.

Would the sound be better ? Punchier ? Louder ?
