Re: Weird "staying in time" issue - Live 8

this seems like more of a bug, not an autowarp issue. it doesn't have anything to do with the warp markers, they are fine. i'm also having a dropout issue where a track will start to drop bars and eventually drop audio completely, though the track is still playing. Is it possible to simply have a &q...

Re: Weird "staying in time" issue - Live 8

They are audio clips. The warping has never been "accurate" in Ableton. It's better in Live 8 than it has ever been, but I don't think this is a warping issue. I've updated with each latest version as it's become available, and this problem still exists. When launching a second clip, the f...

Re: Audio playback problem

it's probably the "Preserve" setting, under "Warp." The Transient setting seems to make it sound like that, play around with that and see if that helps

Weird "staying in time" issue - Live 8

I've never experienced this problem before, but Live 8 is giving me huge problems with two clips staying in time together. I could have two loops playing together, and once I jump to a part of a song using the speaker icon, things get all out of sync. this is terrible, what is the deal??????

Problems syncing Trigger Finger in Live 6

I'm having trouble assigning knobs/sliders on the Trigger Finger to anything in Live. When in Map Mode, nothing is happening when I try to change the Midi Mappings. I never had any problems using it before on my old Powerbook. But I can't get it to work on a Macbook and also couldn't get it linked t...

DJing with Live on new Macbook

I just got a new Macbook to dj on (2.2 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo; 2 GB RAM), and am curious to know any other additions or setting adjustments I should make for my machine to run as efficiently as possible? What, if any, changes should I make in the Preferences, such as in Record/Warp/Launch? Should I be...

Cool, thank you all for your help. The Apple web shop was only giving the faster disk as an upgrade for the 2.33, that's why I asked. I know it seemed ridiculous. I heard about the quad dual Macs, it'll be stupid what Live can do on those. I know the price on those will be even steeper, that's why I...

Mac Pro Recommendations?

I'm looking to get a new Mac Pro. Is there a big difference between the 2.13 GHz and the 2.33? When looking at the Mac site, it appears that the 7200 rpm hard drive is only available for the 17-inch 2.33 GHz.... Is this true? One of the guys at ableton support recommended a 7200 rpm hard drive if po...

DJing with Live 5

I have been doing alot of mixing tracks on 5 and want to start doing live gigs. All I have is a 1.5 GHz G4 laptop and an M-Audio Trigger Finger. What other gear would I need for gigs? Do I need to get another sound card? Also, I find that when I have 3 or 4 clips playing at once, my computer usage s...
