Re: recorded audio with quantization on by mistake, what now?

Okay. Sounds like your recording should indeed be tough to save then, or pretty much impossible since the clean WAV file has issues already.. Sorry.. Must have been problems on recording then. Did you just play the WAV that Live saved in the project or did you export it first to listen to it in VLC...

Re: recorded audio with quantization on by mistake, what now?

No - try turning off Warp in the clip settings _now_, after the recording. My guess was that you changed the speed of the project and Live auto-warps longer clips by default, so there you go. See if the glitching and speed issues disappear after switching "Warp" off. Again, apologies if t...

Re: recorded audio with quantization on by mistake, what now?

Hey, did you record MIDI? Record quantization only affects recorded MIDI data. If that is the case, you could undo Record quantization from the Edit menu, however only if you haven't yet saved the project. However, your description sounds more like you forgot to turn "Warp" off in your re...

recorded audio with quantization on by mistake, what now?

I recorded a performance and everything is glitchy and slowed down. Record Quantization was set to "Sixteenth Note". I really really need to salvage this recording. Is there any way to do so or is the recording ruined?

What can't Live 5 do?

Our Protools system has bitten the dust and we are attempting to start recording the remainder of our CD using LIVE 5. Is this a bad idea? My guitarist, who knows ProTools well, looked at it and instantly said, "this is not made for tracking and editing audio. Where can I apply crossfades?"...

Ok, I just tried everything and, just when I was about to give up, I chose the last preset in the 1616m list, "product default". I now have more choices. I can't figure out why, but I do.

You probably need to go into the PatchMixDSP software and select the "multitrack" preset rather than the installed preset. http://www.emu.com/support/files/download2.asp?Centric=1008&Legacy=&Platform=1 I tried this and got the same results. Does anyone have any other suggestions?

1 and 2 stereo is four inputs (2 x L+R).
Actually, I meant to say it's 1 and 2 combined into a stereo track.

I've chosen ASIO and EMU ASIO drivers.

I have a registered version of LIVE 5. I started on the Live Lite and purchased the full version a couple of years ago.

I'm using EMU 1616m. I created three input strips and made sure the peak meters were moving when three mics were attached.

I looked all over Ableton and read the manual. I don't know what to do next?

In "input config" I only have two choices.

"1 and 2 mono" and "1 and 2 stereo".

How can I get 3 and 4?

Live 5, only 2 inputs?

I have a preamp that allows 4 inputs but I can't, for the life of me, figure out how to use more than two inputs with Live. Is Live only built for two?

I pulled it off this weekend, playing through my EMU and Live in real-time. I didn't have enough time to fully explore all the effects, but I did notice that the Beat Repeat effect didn't work at all. The left volume meter was jumping but the right was off for some reason. I fiddled with it a while ...
