Re: how to create a new midi-clip via M4L API ???

Hej Guys I've got one quick question... How do I create a new midi clip into an empty clipslot via M4L API? It must be possible in a way, because the cliip module in liine's griid for iPad does this job. thanx in advance Lukas Hi Lukas, AFAIK the API doesn't give us this "power" really ? griid does...

Re: Pulling thing out of lists

No wonder I couldn't remember/find this object, "zl" is a pretty random name, as opposed to "unpack", etc. IMO, it should be in the "see also" list for "pack" and "unpack", as it allows for other, more detailed ways to manipulate list components. Anyway, just glad to have found it. -Hamish You are ...

Very nice hack pid !

Though I really hope [live.guiobjects] will get the same features regular max GUI objects offer and vice versa.

Re: Toggle to momentary.

Hi All, I'm currently using live with a midi fighter and pad control and I want to be able to use a button/pad to turn "device on" or turn the "volume on/off" in a momentary action rather than a toggle. For example I press the pad sound is let through I let go, sound turns off. the reason for this ...

The novation Step Sequencer is a very well crafted device, grab it from novation's web site.

good luck

Re: controlling other devices - tutorials?

are there any GOOD in depth tutorials around on how to control devices? i can get to the devices with live.path but that's as far as i get. i still can't find a way to get a list of usable parameters, eg arpeggiator / delay etc. one thing i'm trying to do as a learning project is to take 4 buttons ...

Midi mapping for classic Max GUI objects

Hi,
Did someone find a way to offer MIDI mapping for classic max GUI objects just like the Live.objects do ?
Pattr and so on give us the preset and automation features but MIDI mapping is still missing.

thanks

Hi, Here's my 1st patch in M4L. A simple device that allows you to change the notes coming from the FBC pedals. Re: new m4l built in lessons !, one link is dead

If you temporarily switch Live's language to English, do the links work? Also, did you previously have a beta version installed? The lesson names (and links to them) changed a few times during development, and it's possible you have a "leftover" link. Thanks, switching to US doesn't help yes I inst...

Hi folks, I'm not able to reproduce this error. Can you tell me which lesson, specifically, has the link that's giving you the error? Have you guys installed the final, release versions, or are you working with one of the betas (of either Live or Max?) Thanks, Hi Dennis, As I wrote it is " lesson:/...
