Thanks ShelLuser, I'm on a Mac. I have found the folder with the crash information ( /user/library/application support/ableton ) and I have the bug report for the crash in question. The problem is that the format of the 'bug report' is a package (.alp) and not a project (.als), so live cannot open ...

I just lost a lot of good work because Live quit on me and I forgot to select 'recover' the next time I loaded Live.

Is there any way I can use the information in the bug report to recover it?

Can anyone help get the note-repeat function to sync with live? I've set the tempo setting to 'external' in the 'global' settings menu and turned on all the midi inputs and outputs in Live's preferences but it seems to play back at a totally different tempo.

Any ideas?

have a look at your audio settings for your sound card in control panel. I had to set my sample rate to 'dynamic' in the Sigmatel Control panel to get rid to the 'beyond logic' error.

If you are using a Santa Rosa MBP then you will have problems with latency using the internal sound card (badly written realtek audio drivers as far as I know).

I cannot get better than about 1000 samples using asio4all in bootcamp on my 2.4ghz MBP.

I'm not yet prepared to blame this on the HD sound card for a couple of reasons. Firstly, this sound card runs at very low latency using OSX. Secondly, my last MBP also had an Intel HD card and had great performance in XP.
