i use Live exclusively. i've always used it to sequence beats, and also sequencing anything else i desired. melodies and such i'd either sequence, or record a vsti from synthtest and throw it into Live and warp it to fit. now that i don't need synthtest, i've started to record midi of the melodies i...

using live4 beta in a performance setting
so, i'm pretty sure that conventional wisdom tells me that i shouldn't, but i'm strongly considering using the current live4 beta in a show i'm doing this saturday. mostly because i've got a really nice set prepared (which i really didn't plan on performing initially - i was just screwing around wit...

i've always made my own loops (or stolen them, heh), but in most of my work i don't use loops. for live performance, i've grown dependant on them. but in stuff on the album i've got out, i didn't any of my beats to get boring - they change a lot, too much too have as loops. though lately i've been w...

midi inputs
what i'd like to know is, will i be allowed more than two midi devices? i use a cheap evolution midi keyboard, an akai mpd16, and an evolution x-session. i don't usually use them all in the same song (hard to do with the keyboard and the mpd), but i do use them all in a live performance setting. if ...

holy crap
this is seriously pretty much perfect. i too am getting all amped up to get rid of some workaround applications.
would be nice to know if there are more than two midi devices being allowed now.

i have a very similar problem. live 3.02 does not recognize the majority of my vst plugins. live 2 DID recognize them. when i keep the plugins in the system folders (which live scans, right?) it only pulls up 3 of them. if i put them in a custom folder, it finds an extra ten, but that's it. nothing ...

vst plugins causing live to crash
running live 2.02 on OS X. it was running virtually bug-free for a while, now i sometimes (not always) have a small problem. some vst plugins crash live when i try to load them, or if i try to load a live set which uses them. right now, it's not too much of an issue (although it's pretty frustrating...
