too much work. jeez. it's not like you people have to actually get up and physically do anything.
bottom line is, if you practice doing it, you'll get better at it. and if you really want to do the cool stuff that live lets you do, you'll figure out how to do it.

i never learned an instrument, though i have fairly good rhythm for drumming. i spent several years making 4-track recordings with a more skilled friend, where he'd play guitar and bass and i'd add samples or keyboard sound effects or found-object drumming. then one day i decided that i'd teach myse...

i've always liked that live forced me to develop my own sound. in previous software i've used, it's been way too easy to use internal synths and presets and etc. and come up with tracks quickly that sound exactly like they came from that program. so i'm hesitant about the idea of any synth that woul...

as much as i understand the difficulty of adding full mp3 support, i'm definitely in favor of adding some mp3-in and -out conversion. especially since the wave editor that i had been using to do those conversions stopped working, and the one i'm using now is REALLY slow and often crashes with big fi...

i agree with that - i've always made things sound like i want them to, and haven't had any problems. but my sound is a little bit gritty, so i don't know. a couple of times i've had sound quality issues where it really affected the sound badly, or introduced some noise/distortion that was unwanted. ...

i had a uc-16 (which is the x-session minus the crossfade) and loved it. then a friend got the x-session and quit making music, so i got it. it's nice. it serves my needs very well - 16 knobs that can do whatever i want them to, and a crossfade for when i'm feeling that. the crossfade's nice and loo...
