Can I delete the old App files
Hi All, I'm trying to clean up my computer and every time a new Ableton edition comes out I just drag the new file into my 'Application' folder. So over time I've managed to accumulate multiple copies of ableton in my application folder. I'd rather be safe than sorry, so I thought I should ask - Can...

Re: Launchpad : tips n tricks, ideas, suggestions
Not sure if it has been mentioned before, but here's a little clip I made to show people how to send midi output to a launchpad to make it glow and thus create patterns with it (in time with your music): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5P5bx2sd6PM&list=UUu8vCgHSukY7OHVaK_SXTAg&index=1&fea...

Holding a button decreases/increases value
Hi all, Probably a dumb question, but I don't know what to search for to find the answer. In live, is there a way that I can press a button via midi, and for the amount of time I hold it down, It continually decreases at a steady rate, and when I let go of the button it returns to the original value...

Assigning Midi Task to my FCB 1010
Hi All, I have another question about my new FCB 1010. I'm trying to assign it to my live setup to control guitar effects in Guitar Rig 4. The two pedals work fine for stuff like volume and whammy applications, though when I try to assign one of the foot switches, the midi bar on the left says I'm a...

Re: Assigning knobs on the Akai MPK-25
Thanks I'll try that out this afternoon! And sorry to be a pain but I have another question! How do I assign transport controls? It doesn't seem to work the same way as assigning a know. Also when I assign one of the S1, S2... knobs, it only does what I assign every second time I press the button. I...

Re: Assigning knobs on the Akai MPK-25
Ok problem solved! Thanks alot
Now I have another question. Can you get the tap tempo to match the ableton click track so that the arpegiator and note repeat are in sync with other sample? so I don't have to tap it in every time ?
Thanks in advance,
Jedwards

Assigning knobs on the Akai MPK-25
Hi all,
I'm having trouble assigning the knobs on my new akai mpk25! I click on the midi button, chose the parameter I want to control and turn a knob on the keyboard but nothing happens? Is there something else I should be doing?
thanks

Re: Stop Buttons!
Sorry I wrote the wrong name. When I said master stop I was talking about the scene stop button not the one at the top! And I only really use the session view of the launchpad and change the midi function of the last row of buttons, just cause it's easier than going through the different menus Launc...

Stop Buttons!
Hi all, I would like to midi sync a button on my launchpad that stops all the tracks instantly after pressing it but the set still continues to play (e.g the click is still going). If I sync the master stop button it wait's until the end of the bar to stop all tracks which is not all ways useful! An...

Cant's get ableton to sync with already prepared tracks
HI All, I'm new to Ableton. I have got a song already prepared that has some simple rhythms and some complex ones and when i import them into ableton it just uses its beat finder to sync it to the tempo which is not what i want to happen. I just want to import them into it and use abletons effects a...
